Janice GibsonExecutive Director- jgibson@firstteetulsa.org — Currently a PGA Class “A” /LPGA Teaching Division Member. Played collegiate golf at Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.  Played 12 years on the LPGA Tour

 

 

 

 

 

 

Austin QuintenProgram Manager- aquinten@firstteetulsa.org — Austin first met Janice Gibson in 1996, when she became his swing coach.  When First Tee — Tulsa was first established in 2001, Austin joined the program where he eventually was chosen to play in the Wal-Mart First Tee Open.  Austin graduated from Charles Page High School in 2007, and earned a golf scholarship to play for Columbia University in New York City.  Austin then played for the University of Texas at Tyler.  Austin has a B.A. in Political Science and History, and a Masters degree in History.  Austin joined the First Tee — Tulsa staff in March 2015. He has become known as “Coach Awesome Austin.”  He recently added a new member to his family, his son, Callan Thomas Quinten.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Marla SouvannasingAssistant Director- msouvannasing@firstteetulsa.org — Marla Souvannasing joined the First Tee — Tulsa in the summer of 2019. At 8 years old she started learning how to play the game of golf at the First Tee — Tulsa. Graduate of Union High School in 2014 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Management at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2019. Marla earned an athletic scholarship to compete for the UCO Women’s Golf Team, then later became the graduate assistant golf coach for the 2018-2019 season. She was a two-time NCAA DII All-American. In 2020 she was inducted into Union High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Marla is glad to return to her roots where she can give opportunities to Tulsa’s youth just like she was given.
